Our Horses
Cody
Cody was born in
December
of 1998. He is a Quarter Horse/Arabian
cross. He stands at 15.3 hands and
weighs 975 lbs.
Cody is a big horse with a commanding presence. He is king of the herd yet completely docile and at ease with all people big and small!
Cody offers a
medium to
wide base of support and all of his a gaits are dynamic. He
is a favorite for his sensitivity and his
antics. Cody has quite the personality
and often “talks” to his riders as they prepare to dismount of if they
are offering
food of any kind. Cody also does tricks
for treats making him the official entertainer!
“Cody” is the “Cody” in “Marcody”!
Daisy
Daisy is a registered Quarter Horse mare.
She is chestnut in color and shines like a
penny in the sun. She was born in February
of 2002. She is only 14.2 hands tall,
which classifies her as a pony. Daisy weighs
in at 860 lbs.
Daisy is extremely laid
back and often falls asleep while being groomed. She loves
a spa treatment and appreciates
being made to look pretty.
Her small
size and her calm demeanor make her a favorite for grooming and bathing.
Daisy possesses smooth gaits emanating from a
narrow base of support. Her walk offers
firstly lateral movement and secondly rotational movement. Her
trot and canter are smooth and easy to
ride.

Fantasy on Ice
Ice is a registered Appendix (Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred
Cross) born in March of 1999. He stands
at 15.2 hands and weighs 900 lbs. He is
a dark bay with a kind eye and a love of attention.
Ice has a playful personality and is known
for digging in peoples pockets looking for treats. He is somewhat fidgety and impatient for
grooming, but he truly enjoys being rubbed and scratched.
Ice possesses a narrow base of support and has very
dynamic gaits. His walk offers primarily
anterior/posterior movement and rotational movement is secondary. His trot is big offering lots of input to the
rider.
He is a great choice for teaching riders to post at the trot!
Maggie
Maggie was born around 1994. She
is a Thoroughbred/Quarter
Horse cross. She stands at 15 hands and
weighs 1000 lbs.
Maggie was a brood mare most of her life, giving birth to and caring for many foals. She is nurturing and kind, patient and tolerant. Maggie thoroughly enjoys being groomed and bathed.
Jay Jay is a chestnut Quarter Horse gelding born in approximately 2002. He is splattered with white spots which make everyone wonder what other sort of breeding he has. Owned and trained by a top notch dressage rider, Jay Jay is athletic and extremely fit! He is 15.2 hands tall and weighs approximately 1,000. lbs.
Jay Jay offers a wide base of support and has
incredibly
smooth gaits. He is a dominant horse in
the herd but a sweet and kind fellow, especially if you bring him a
treat!
Gypsy
Gypsy is
our resident cutie pie. She is a
Shetland/Welsh cross born in approximately 1995.
She is a bay with a gleaming summer coat and
a super fuzzy winter coat which makes her a rival to any plush toy!
At 10.5 hands tall and approximately 650 lbs,
Gypsy is a tiny dynamo. She canters
and jumps right along side her peers
with experienced small riders, yet she is the perfect pony-ride pony.
Jade
Jade
is a registered paint horse mare. She
was born in May of 2000. She stands at
14.2½ hands and weighs 950 lbs.
Although
she is short, she offers a medium to wide base of support and has a lot
of
natural padding making her a favorite for bareback riding!
Jade’s walk is comfortable and offers a lot of
lateral
and anterior/posterior movement. Her
trot is very dynamic providing a good deal of input to the rider.
Jade knows her job well and aims to please
her rider. She lives to eat and will do
almost anything for treats!
Sabrina
Sabrina is a registered Thoroughbred mare. She was born in 1989 and won many races on the track as a youngster. She is now living out her golden days as a lesson horse at Hope Reins and Marcody Ranch. Sabrina stands at 16 Hands and weighs approximately 1,100 lbs.
Sabrina’s age and experience make her wise and
understanding. She loves a back scratch
and is a willing and eager mount.
Shadow
Shadow is a draft cross, born around 2000. He stands at 14.2 hands and weighs 900 lbs. Although technically he is a pony, his has a huge horse heart! He is soft and fuzzy with a wide comfortable back. He loves to be groomed and enjoys affection and attention!
Shadow’s walk is ground covering and offers a lot of rotational and anterior/posterior movement. He has a wide base of support and lots of natural padding. Shadow’s greatest asset is his completely laid back attitude and “teddy bear” appearance. He is irresistible!
